After the Isolation tour the guitarist Steve Lukather and drummer Jeff Porcaro decided to add a second keyboardist as well as a vocalist to the group. They auditioned several musicians, including Fergie Fredericksen, but ultimately chose Joseph Williams.
In the year 2018, Toto released a new album titled Old Is New and embarked on a world tour to promote the album. They were joined by touring musicians Lenny Castro, Shannon Forrest, Warren Ham, and Shem von Schroeck. Toto is one of the most loved groups in the world.
