Eufy, owned by Anker It has become an iconic name in the world of budget robot vacuums. But it didn't offer the option of a model that could mop. The X8 Hybrid is a new model that offers a range of features that are advanced and can compete with more expensive models.
The laser navigation system is the primary selling point of this machine. The previous Eufy devices have created a rough map of your home using infrared sensors and bumping into objects but the X8's laser mapping system is far more precise. It also takes significantly less time to create an accurate map of your space and stores multiple maps, which is great for homes with multiple floors.
The X8 is still a
good robot vacuum vacuum on floors with no dust that can carry debris under its side brushes and into its 400ml dust bin with ease. The Tyres of the X8, despite their circular shape, are adept in grabbing corners and edges. It's not the best cat litter picker, though our tests have shown it can only remove about 90 percent of the fur off hard floors.
The mopping mode that is the basic one uses the same reservoir of water as the vacuuming mode. While this is great for spills that aren't too big, you can't limit the amount of water it uses, which will limit its effectiveness on more severe staining. That said, it does an admirable job of picking up pet hair, and has a higher percentage of hair removal than the Roborock S7.
3. Miele RX2
Known for quietly effective home appliances Miele's RX2 robot vacuum has excellent cleaning power, gorgeous design, and a great navigation. However, it does have a few operational oddities which prevent it from being considered as the top overall smart robot vacuum.
Similar to the latest models of iRobot, the RX2 comes with dual-sensor mapping that uses a LIDAR sensor to map an area and two 3D scanning cameras to detect and avoid obstacles (like furniture legs or pet waste) in real time. Once the room is mapped, you can assign virtual no go areas and preferred sections to the robot. You can also alter the cleaning options, begin cleaning manually or watch live feeds from the cameras onboard from the main screen.
The RX2 has superior sensors that detect furniture and other obstructions immediately. The suction and sweeping abilities are excellent, taking away surface debris from carpets with medium pile as well as dust that has been deposited on floors. However, it's not the most efficient robot available. Like many other robots it's not a very good climber and has trouble with things like thresholds made of steel transition strips.

Its floor tracking sensors help it navigate across furniture and along edges, while Cliff Detect helps to prevent the Roomba from slipping down stairs. It can also return automatically to the base station to allow for charging between sessions. Although the 980's battery life and bin size aren't as impressive as other robot vacuums it's a sturdy and reliable machine that will keep your floors spotless for hours on end.
