Bentley's bespoke coachbuilding division, Mulliner, has designed a unique key case to celebrate the brand's centenary. It's made of Dark stained Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes an eagle-like "B" paperweight keys, as well as an album of never-before-seen 1930s 8 Litre images.
It's a great present to welcome a new owner to their luxurious car.
Aesthetics
As a design-driven company, Bentley takes its aesthetics extremely seriously. The Continental GT is the most sophisticated open-top Bentley ever built. The rear tonneau, for instance, featured the largest piece of book-matched, dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer ever applied to an actual production Bentley. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.
It is this unique design, craftsmanship and attention to detail that has established Bentley as the most sought-after automobile brand. Bentley celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2019 one hundred years after it was founded. The marque, which is owned by Volkswagen without a partner following years of dispute with BMW, had planned a number of special launches and events to celebrate this significant occasion. Design
Bentley is known as a premium car manufacturer who creates extravagant and luxurious cars. However, even the keys make a statement. The Bentayga key is crafted from sterling silver and has an oversized 'B' logo that lets everyone know you drive a Bentley. It's also engraved with the years 1919 and 2019 to mark the company's centenary.
Bentley Mulliner redesigned and developed the Mulsanne to become the ultimate Grand Touring vehicle. It features two opposing pairs of rear seats that were inspired by luxury private aviation, providing passengers with unparalleled comfort and security. A custom heating, ventilation and air conditioning system was designed to ensure each passenger has the ideal temperature control.
In addition to a set of exquisitely executed styling tweaks and a host of elegantly executed styling changes, the Mulsanne is powered by twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre W12 engine that is capable of producing 560bhp and 479lb-ft of torque. This prodigious power is complemented by a revolutionary suspension design that gives Bentley's signature hushed ride.
In celebration of its Centenary,

Function
The Bentley Mulsanne key features an opening button for the trunk and another that starts the car. It also has a switch to activate the parking break. There is a knob to fold and unfold the mirrors while parking in tight spaces. This feature makes it easier to get into and out of your car.
The key is made of vegetable tanned leather. It takes more than two days to make each one. The key is cut by hand, shaped, stitched and sealed, then polished to achieve a high-quality result. It is compact and strong and fits the

Secure-A-Key is also included to prevent keyless entry theft. This device is put inside the remote control key fob and will shut it off after a few minutes of inactivity, preventing thieves from transmitting the frequency of the key to other devices that can unlock and start the vehicle.

Personalisation
Bentley's bespoke division, Mulliner, allows customers to create their own vehicle. The "mood station" lets customers pick images that inspire them. They can choose anything from picturesque vistas to sporting events. Every time a choice is made the pattern that emerges reveals the model preference for color, style and design for the custom Bentley.
The guests are given keys made by hand that contains the R.F.I.D. enabled key cards. The keys can be equipped with Bentley Muliner Personalised welcome lamps that illuminate the way of the door's opening. They are adorned with the owner's name or logo as they approach the vehicle.
Bentley estimates that it takes around 500 man-hours to construct and construct a Mulsanne. The inability to adopt new technology is the key to this time-consuming task. Instead of using a machine to place the perfectly matched cross-stitched leather seats workers at the Crewe factory do it by hand. And rather than using the car's built-in sensors guide it to parallel and perpendicular parking spaces, drivers have to perform the task by hand.
During the event, Bentley displayed its Mulliner personalization capabilities using a special example of the Mulsanne W.O. The Mulsanne W.O. Edition pays tribute to the man who founded the company, William Osler Bentley. The limited edition cars include an item key that shows the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
