Baby Jogger City Select Stroller & City Select Car Seat
The City Select 2 Stroller Eco Collection is a versatile, multi-purpose stroller. It can be transformed from a single stroller into a double stroller by adding an additional seat (sold separately) or glider board. It can also be converted into a triple travel system by adding an infant bench seat or car seat. In all, it offers 24 different configurations and is a top stroller overall. This model is constructed with Baby Jogger's soft and breathable, sustainably sourced TENCEL fabrics. They aid in regulating temperature. It comes with a leatherette handlebar, bumper bar and belly bar. It is 20percent smaller and lighter than the leading single-to-double stroller on the market, the UPPAbaby V2.
It has a medium-sized sunshade and a handy magnetic peek-aboo window that is easy to open and close. The telescoping handlebars are one of the most simple to adjust and works for parents of all heights. The seats recline and have a footwell adjustment button to allow you to position your child for maximum comfort. The storage bin is large however we would prefer it had an opening that was more secure. It's easy to access but we found the zippers somewhat frustrating as they must be completely removed and refastened to each use.
Like its siblings, the City Select has single-action brakes which are easy to set and release by the pulling of a lever located on the side of the frame that is lower than the handlebar. It's barefoot and sandal-friendly and a significant improvement over the awkward toe-pinch brake lever that a few of the other models use.
This is the only stroller in our review that can accept two infant car seats, making it a great alternative for twins, or for parents with a single child and a baby coming soon. It can be used with the majority of major brands' infant car seats by using an adapter. We tested it with Britax/BOB Chicco KeyFit 30, Graco Click Connect models Cybex Aton and Aton Q as well as Nuna Pipa.
The City Select is not compatible with the UPPAbaby Vista V2. The City Select is a good option for families that already own a car seat, but want a stroller which can accommodate it. However, you may prefer a convertible stroller in this instance.
