Once the battery has been removed, place the new one in its socket. Ensure that the positive side of the battery is facing upwards, and that all clips are in place. Slide the cover downwards towards the key-ring section until it is loose and is able to slide off. Then, remove the cover to reveal the hidden key blade. Note: Older Volvos use a different type of battery that is called the CR2025. CR2025 batteries are 7 10ths of a millimeter smaller than a CR2032 battery, which means you must be cautious about the placement of the replacement.
