Volvo Key Fob Troubleshooting
Volvo drivers love their key fob's useful remote that comes with features. Using a smartphone app, they can lock and unlock the vehicle and start the engine and even locate the vehicle.
Place the fob's front up on a clean surface. Locate the button that lets you release it, place a coin between the fob and the cover and then pull it up with care.
Locking the Door

The key fob should be held with the Volvo logo facing up to unlock or lock the manual lock. Find the black button on the edge of your key fob, and gently press it. This will open a cover that protects the manual key blade. The cover can be turned counterclockwise with a flathead or coin.

Press and hold the unlocking button on your Volvo remote control for four seconds. This will lower the windows as well as the sunroof, should you have one. After you've finished using the vehicle, you can close all the windows by pressing the lock button again for four seconds.
You can also use your key fob to trigger your car's panic alarm. This will sound an intense, attention-grabbing roar that will frighten off thieves and allow you to return home safe after a long night out. This feature is helpful if you reside in a hazardous area or you want to keep your family safe when you are away from home.
Opening the Tailgate
