The group Toto was formed in 1976 by guitarists Jeff Porcaro and

Joseph is a more natural frontman than Frederiksen and gives the band a much needed boost.
In 1999, the band releases Mindfields and begin an extensive tour across the globe. After a few months in Europe they travel to Japan where the shows are sold out. After a short hiatus, Toto resumes their recording and release their first live album entitled Absolutely Live in 1993. It also features a cover of Weezer's song Hash Pipe as a response to the band covering Africa during their recent tour. Toto's touring group includes drummer Lenny Castro and bassist Shannon Forrest, as well as keyboardist Shem Von Schroeck.
