MFM reviewer Kath tried this buggy on an infant as well as a child who was 3 years old and found it extremely robust. It handled grass, cobbles and rough pavements as well as dirt tracks and kerbs. She noted that it was solid to push, and very solid on difficult terrain. The tyres, which are inflated and require to be pumped regularly they have suspension built-in. This was extremely comfortable for my children.
The shape and size of the seat is a further factor to think about. You'll want it to be big enough for your child's comfort and you will also require it to recline so that they can lie flat. Certain three-wheel buggies come with the option of lying flat, which allows your child to lie flat and face you, while other buggies only allow a face-to-parent one.
A great option for those who want to tackle off-road and muddy walks is the Roma Atlas. It can be used as a single unit from the beginning and can be modified to take two children when your family expands. Larger wheels mean your buggy will have more stability on uneven terrain, which is ideal for off-road buggies. They also allow you to navigate the pushchair through tight spaces. Many three wheeled buggies have the front wheels that swivel to help you navigate around tight corners, whereas others are specifically designed for running and have fixed front wheels that lock to improve the speed and stability with which they can be driven. This is particularly useful when you bump against the kerb or a tree. The front wheel will be lifted slightly to avoid hitting it.
A majority of 3 wheeled pushchairs have air-filled tyres that allow them to navigate a wide range of terrains. They are also more flexible than 4 wheelers. They're also lighter. They are prone to punctures, so you'll need to have repair kits and an spare inner tubes on hand.

Both of these buggies have larger wheels that, as per MFM reviewer Kath, "perform really well on gravel tracks, grass and market town cobbles" and are able to effortlessly go up and down kerbs. The buggies also have suspension that, according to Kath "smooths out bumps with great efficiency".
The drawback of having larger wheels is that they make buggies quite large and can struggle to fit through narrow spaces. This is problematic if you intend to use it for jogging or you need to get through doorways that are narrow when traveling. Fortunately, many models come with small folding options that let you take off the front wheels to make compact storage.
Easy to manoeuvre
A three-wheel buggy can be more comfortable to drive with a child. The way they are constructed means that the front wheels rotate at a quick pace and are really easy to maneuver and are ideal for difficult terrains like cobbles, parks and bumpy pavements as well as dirt tracks.
MFM reviewer Kath tried the
3 wheel buggy for sale-wheeler with her toddler, and she reported: "The Terrain is a delight to navigate in rough terrain. The swivel wheel front was especially helpful." I was also awed by how well it coped with kerbs, especially when using the brake operated by hand. It was very stable in the downhills or on uneven terrain."
The only drawback to this great maneuverability, is that the larger wheels of the 3-wheel buggy may make it difficult to squeeze into tight spaces. This is something to keep in mind if your home area is one of the cities. If this is an issue, a 4-wheeled buggy may be a better option for you.
