How to Replace a Saab 93 Key Fob
Every car should be equipped with a key fob and a transmitter/
remote that can lock and unlock your vehicle. The batteries that are used in these devices may be faulty.
If you are thinking of purchasing a
saab car keys 93 and don't have two keys, you could add one for about $400. This requires purchasing a brand new TWICE module from a dealer and then installing it using an exclusive hand-held computer known as a Tech2.
Keys Replacement
Many used Saabs only come with one key. It is recommended, as soon as you can, to buy a spare one. This will be less expensive than replacing the entire vehicle if you lose it. It is also crucial to rotate your keys regularly to avoid all the wear and tear and to keep them clean.

The dealer will utilize a handheld computer known as Tech-2 to program the second key into the vehicle. Some garages that are independent can do this, however the process is more complex and they need to reprogramme the EEPROM in your car's current computer in order to accept the new key.
Key Fobs for Replacement
Saab owners whose last key was stolen or
lost saab keys will require replacement as soon as possible. The steps to get an additional working Saab 9-3 key fob require the dealer's service department. Making an additional key for a Saab car requires a special transmitter and a transponder with it and some type of programming specific to the vehicle to convince the computer it is not trying to steal the vehicle. Locksmiths are not able to do this. It is only possible through a dealer or a handheld computer called Tech2.
If you already have a functioning key fob, then adding another should not cost more than $200. The other expense is the actual making of the key in metal, should you require it. Most dealers will also do this, but it may take several weeks to get both the car and the part programmed.
Replacement Remotes
The Saab 9-3's cabin is designed from the driver outward and features logical layouts as well as the feel of the controls. The dashboard of the Saab 9-3 has been designed to wrap around the driver and features a turbo vacuum gauge that gives a unique feel. A leather-wrapped steering wheel features audio, cruise control and phone controls.
The console in between the seats is equipped with only one cupholder, while the knobs for the Bose audio and dual-zone climate controls are placed well. The touch-screen display can be distracting when driving.
In terms of power, the 9-3 is a reliable performer. The base low pressure turbo model requires around 8 seconds to reach speeds of 60 mph. The more powerful Viggen can do it in just 6.9 seconds.
The handling of this car is a major factor in its success. Despite its weight distribution of 60/40 front-to-rear the Turbo X is agile and composed when driving on two-lane highways.
The only downside to this car's impressive dynamics is its poor fuel economy. The turbocharged 2.0-liter motor can achieve around 27 mpg when in the city and 35 on the highway. The Turbo X special edition with more power will be available in 2008 only. This model comes with an unique rear-seat which folds flat on the floor to make more space for cargo. It also features a distinctive rear spoiler and more aggressive bumper.
