Best Twin Stroller For Newborns
If you're expecting twins, or have two children that are close in age A
double stroller with bassinet stroller is a must. The top double strollers provide different ways to ride your children including side by side seating and a board attachment.
The Bugaboo Donkey 5 Mono is Lauren Ro's favorite stroller. It adapts to the needs of your family seamlessly. It can be used with two infant car seats and an infant seat. This makes it an ideal option for twins.
Bugaboo Donkey
This is the ideal twin stroller for families who need a stylish, double
side by side double stroller-byside stroller. It's a more bulkier than other Bugaboo models but it's solid and built to last. It has a handlebar that is adjustable that retracts and extends easily. It also has a fantastic reach, so it is easy for my husband of 6'1 to push, even when loaded.
Seats are large and can be placed in a way that one child is in front of another or so that the children face each one. The seats can recline independently from each other. The canopies cover both fabric seats, if desired. But they don't have enough ventilation, which makes them feel like a small oven on hot days. They also don't have a peek-a-boo window to see the children.
This stroller features an exclusive feature that allows it to grow with you and your family. It can convert from a single seat (Mono Mode) to a double side by side stroller. It is the only double stroller convertible that can do this! It can also be used with an additional bassinet or car seat for newborns.
It is easy to maneuver on smooth surfaces and can handle slopes and steps with ease. The only drawback is that it could be difficult to navigate the midst of crowded restaurants and shops. It is also difficult to fold, especially when the seats are tucked away. It's still compact and can fit through most doors.
There is a storage bin that can be tucked away on the frame next to the front seat in mono mode. This is ideal for groceries and other items. The main storage basket beneath the seats is huge and can hold up to 100 lbs. This is more than any other stroller on our list!
Uppababy Vista v2
This stroller is among the
best double buggy twin strollers for newborns. It can be used right from the box as a double stroller and is compatible with many bassies and infant car seats. It can even accommodate two bassinets or infant car seats simultaneously if you purchase the Vista Upper and Lower adapters.
The V2 is a redesigned version of the original Vista. The toddler seat is a half-inch higher, the footrest has more space and the canopy has an extender fabric that zips out and provides additional coverage. Additionally, the harness has been modernized - it does not require replaced, making it easier to adjust.
The stroller comes with fairly large wheels (8'' in the front and 11.5 inches in the back) with strong suspension, which means it is able to easily navigate any terrain. The rubber wheels on the front are perfect for navigating rocks and gravel, while the tread on the rear wheels is more suitable for sidewalks or grassy hills.
A child's bicycle can be attached to the front of a stroller. This is a great choice for parents who do not want to invest in a baby car seat. And if you have an older child who is ready to stand and walk, the Vista can even fit an additional child with its piggyback ride-along board accessory.
Vista Vista is easy to use and to set up. However, it takes some time to take off all the protective packaging. The instructions are easy to follow and there is also a YouTube video for assistance if you require more information.
Thule Urban Glide 3
The Thule Urban Glide 3 stroller is the most recent version of this renowned all terrain stroller. It's designed to appeal to families that appreciate style, sustainability, and adventure. It features exciting upgrades, including a built-in leg rest and a new reclining seat that promises unparalleled comfort for children during long jogs and walks. Its sleek, agile design enhances its maneuverability.
It's incredibly lightweight, making it a breeze to push and easy to accelerate once you're on the road. Its suspension handles abrupt changes in the surface (like grass to pavement) easily and the large wheels offer ample traction for even the most difficult terrain. It's able to move up kerbs and around tight spaces such as city streets. It's easy to navigate narrow sidewalks and overcrowded parks.
While the new Urban Glide 3 offers superior performance, it also retains the classic Thule features that make it the ideal jogger for parents. This includes an oversized canopy that provides an excellent sun protection as well as a convenient peekaboo window, a high-quality harness system, and a handbrake that is integrated with a an extremely tuned lever. It is packed with storage space, including pockets in the seat and a large cargo bag that can accommodate up to 15 pounds.
This Thule Jogger also has bassinets, ideal for strolling newborns, and a double version that can accommodate two kids. It also has car seat adapters, meaning that you can use the infant carrier of your child. It also has a one-handed folding system to help you transport it or store. It also comes in a green option, using dyed solution-dyed fabrics in black colors to reduce the use of water.
Cortina Together
Created for the growing family, Cortina Together offers parents various seating options that can be adjusted to the individual needs of each child and preferences. The two stroller seats of the double stroller have reclining backrests, and canopies that are separate. The seats are also designed to accept Chicco's KeyFit or KeyFit 30, the #1 baby car seat that is rated the highest in both the front and rear seat. (Car seat sold separately).
A comfortable 3-position handle can be used by dad or mom, and a zippered rear access large basket offers ample storage space for gear. The tandem double stroller's wheels and suspension ensure a smooth ride on all types of terrain, and the one-touch linked rear brakes with toe-tap activation makes stopping easy.
In our Strollers & Multiples lab tests, Cortina Together scored well for ease of use. This metric is based on the ease with which it is to fold and set up the stroller. It also reflects how easy it is to open and close the snack trays and engage and disengage the brakes, raise the folded stroller and carry it as if it were a trunk.
We did find some drawbacks to this model, though. First, it's heavy. It weighs 36.6 pounds fully loaded, which puts it closer to the beast end of our metric. It also is not able to see clearly in the back seat when the car seat is in place. In addition, the front tray release is sometimes difficult to operate, especially when used for a long time. Despite these issues we still believe that this is an excellent stroller for your family.
Jeep Double Stroller
Jeep Destination Ultralight Side x Side Double Stroller - an affordable, lightweight stroller ideal for families with 2 children. The front swivel-lock wheels turn to maneuver on flat surfaces, and lock for stability on bumpy ones making it easy to go where you'd like to go. It also features a compact umbrella fold that folds down in a matter of seconds and can be set up for easy transport. Its light aluminum frame along with the foam handles and straps for carrying make it one of the easiest-to-lift double strollers in our tests.
This tandem stroller features independently reclining seats for maximum comfort. Its large canopy offers UPF 50 protection and also comes with a peekaboo view to make it easy for monitoring. We wish the canopy was vented for extra airflow, though. We also didn't love the fact that the cup holder is quite high on the frame, meaning you'll have to bend to reach it.
In our tipping test it was found that the Jeep fell over at a 39 degree angle, which is higher than the average for double prams. It's also a little heavier than our top picks but it offers plenty of storage space for the price and has plenty of padding in the seats and handle.
The stroller is a versatile model with three modes it can be used in: wagon (just for stuff) and jogger (with two 5-point safety harnesses for kids) and car seat mode. It can accommodate a single car seat for an infant. However, pediatricians suggest that you wait until your child is six months old before allowing them to run with them. It is available in black and comes with a limited warranty.
