World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses such as crit chance and PvE damage.
If the weapon's upgrade template is %, it will gain an additional 3% of the previous damage every time it's upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with the item's level.
Components
Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons and armor in order to give them a stat boost or add a bonus effect. They can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades also have special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components are only available to equipment that has a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to a blue level before the component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a kind of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear from the ascended, or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade may have a prefix or suffix that alters the name of the item to which it is applied (for examplefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with less Upgrade crystals than they would require to reach the same level using normal methods.
A boost upgrade can modify the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades can be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or by purchasing them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.
Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher tier version of an item will be available at the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue improving their equipment even if they're uncertain of how much they'll increase after a future reset.
Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be expensive, and there is a high risk that the
item upgrader mod may become obsolete or even break if it fails; a failure to upgrade can destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items that can double or even eliminate the possibility of failure, and some upgrades that offer a bonus when reinserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, and include any existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as possible to level 15.

Best item upgrader way to enhance your gear is by placing Glyphs. These are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.
Glyphs, the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced again, are the most common. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.
There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you will require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that can boost a particular set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Based on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
Using a Glyph can boost all nodes that are connected to it, and you should aim to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. For instance, a Druid should try to position their Glyphs near their primary damage points, however, you may also want to consider placing them near critical damage nodes too.
Leveling
The system of upgrading items lets players increase the performance of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each item level requires a different number of components to be reached and the costs for upgrading increase as the item is upgraded.
Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained from finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab in a crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used to level the item, and when enough points have been earned, the upgrade can be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When the player upgrades a piece of equipment it is replaced by an item that is new. The same armor can be transformed into the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set bonus. This could be a problem in that it could cause the item to become more expensive if you don't need it.
Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, provided that the player has enough tokens in order to do so. The item will be replaced with a brand new one that has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, however it shouldn't be done regularly, as it can waste many resources.
Some upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their gear. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or does not swim as dolphins). This can be upgraded several times, each time increasing the maximum roll by an increment of 10. This item is extremely useful in PvP. A properly rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of its non-upgraded version.
Requirements
The ability to upgrade items allows players to increase the quality of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate currency and items to an
item upgrader NPC. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also boost the defense base of the item, and upgrading weapons will increase the base damage and the strength and dexterity required to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.
Each item can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear that can have eight upgrades. Each when you upgrade an item, it has a chance to fail--the rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original state which means that the player has to pay for more resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.
If an item is not upgraded the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. Additionally the item will be deducted any bonuses it gained such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as all additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or the speed of reloading). The player is able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.
When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded increases its crit chance that it will be applied before any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is computed every time an upgrade is made.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are dependent on its rarity score and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to the value of the base item. For example, a common item might have five upgrades at a cost. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero grade items are less expensive per upgrade.
Premium items have different
upgrade item requirements in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they might require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. However, players will have to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each upgrade requires an individual amount of ingredients needed to upgrade.
