1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The iRobot Roomba i3+ is a well-built
bagless robot sweeper with a large dirt storage compartment that automatically drains into the docking station when full. It will then begin cleaning after it's recharged. It comes with a large external dirt compartment that automatically fills up into the docking station once full and resumes cleaning once it's fully charged. It's effective in removing medium and small debris from floors that are bare but it isn't as effective in removing pet hair and incurs high recurring costs.
Like the i3 EVO, this robot uses iRobot's iAdapat 3.0 navigation software to understand your home and remember specific rooms for future cleanings. It has a feature which automatically adjusts the suction power and the height of the head according to the type of floor it is working on.
In our tests, it performed admirably on both hard floors as well as carpets with low pile, picking up most of the smaller and harder debris we dropped on each surface while taking on the larger crumbs of cereal that we dropped on the carpet. It's not as adept at handling pet hair than some of the

In our tests, the i3+ EVO was clean for a period of about 90 minutes before its battery went low and it reverted to its initial state. This is much better than the i7+ or s9+ which was able to run for just 60 minutes in our tests. The i3+ EVO also has an excellent record of remembering the exact place it left off on an individual run, which isn't always the case with other robots we've examined.
The i3+ EVO's trash bin has a capacity of 1.5 quarts which is smaller than the majority of other robots we tested. It has an release button on the side of the bin that you press to empty it. You can also empty it by using the docking station’s Clean Base Automatic Dirt disposal, which suctions up the dustbin's contents before emptying it into station's external dirt bag.
2. Eureka Q5 Pro
The Q5 Pro offers outstanding cleaning effectiveness, with a suction rate of 5,500pa and mopping systems that can get to work in a matter of minutes. The integrated 770ml water tank and dustbin reduce the frequency of emptying and its large capacity permits longer mopping sessions. Its 240-minute runtime makes it an excellent choice for larger homes. Its amazing smart navigation technology, courtesy of PreciSense LiDAR mapping will also provide a full room coverage, while allowing the robot to maneuver around obstacles.
Contrary to other robot vacuums, the Q5 Pro does not require Wi-Fi to operate. However, its battery life is quite short, so it is necessary to charge it frequently in case you intend to use the machine for a long period of time. It is easy to maintain with an easy-to-clean dirtbag which can be easily replaced and also a simple schedule of maintenance. It's also less expensive than its more expensive competitors.
The Q5 Pro can be a bit finicky when comes to pet hair and larger debris, but it does a solid job overall. In our tests the Q5 Pro was able remove more debris from bare carpets and floors than Dirt Devil Endura Max. However, it had trouble finding tight corners and recessed high-pile areas. It's also more flexible, and its filtering system does a fantastic job of trapping allergens. However, its straight suction floorhead is too low to allow for the passage of heavy or bulky debris. It also has some minor drawbacks such as its lack of features that are more advanced and limited functionality of the remote control. Despite these limitations, the Eureka Q5 Pro is a solid option for those looking for a basic budget robot vacuum with mopping capability.
3. SwitchBot K10 Plus
The SwitchBot K10 Plus is a great choice for those who want a powerful vacuum that also mop. This little robot has a compact form factor that allows it to get into narrow spaces like corners and under furniture that larger robots are unable to reach. It also features an advanced LiDAR sensor that can recognize obstacles and avoid collisions.
During our testing, the K10 Plus quickly and efficiently vacuumed dust, pet hair, crumbs, and other debris from our hardwood and carpet flooring. It was also able to reach into tight places like under our bed or around the legs of chairs. It is possible to mop with a separate cloth, or use a wet cloth. There is a small package of wet wipes that comes with the K10 Plus to get you started.
The application for the K10 Plus is intuitive and simple to use. It has several customization options such as setting a time when the machine will not be disturbed, altering the layout of its map, or setting a schedule of when it needs to clean. The app also monitors the use of different tools like the side brush, filter bin filter, side brush, and sensors. This will let you know when you should replace them.
The K10 Plus's battery life is pretty good too. After a full charge we could get three hours of cleaning. It also recharges fairly quickly. It ejects dirt into a large bin that is located inside the base station once it's done. It can be very loud, but not as loud as other robot vacuums that we've test.
4. iRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is part of the premium S Series of the manufacturer that is above models like the iRobot Roomba J7 or iRobot Roomba i3. It's extremely adept at navigating around furniture and can be used on different surfaces. The main brushroll comes with counter-rotating scrapers made of rubber that effectively remove the majority of pet hair and debris from floors and carpets. The suction power it has in real-world is adequate for a robot but not as robust as premium alternatives such the Roborock S8.
The design of the Roomba S9+ is elegant. It features an oval-shaped frame that looks more modern than its competitors circular bodies. The shape makes it easier to reach corners and along edges with ease. It will still create dust in these areas if you don't spin the corner brush in a fast enough manner. However its powerful motor compensates for it.
In iRobot's tests it was found that the S9+ was able to pick up cat litter and pet hair easily. It also performed exceptionally well on hard floors, as it utilized its powerful motor to blast through most types of debris, and clean all edges and corners with ease. Its vSLAM-based advanced technology and Imprint Smart Mapping technology also made it one of the most efficient navigators we've tested,
bagless robotic cleaning devices and it has a an unshakeable grasp of the floorspace it could even locate its way under beds or sofas with the drape of a valance over them.
The iRobot App makes it easy to set up and operate. You can select which functions you'd like to enable when you set up the robot, or you can wait until after you've gotten familiar with it. The internal bin needs to be manually emptied when it is full however, the process only takes about 15 minutes and is quite quiet.
5. Roborock S8
The most recent version of the Roborock S Series is a powerful robot vacuum and mop combination with a robust feature set. Like its predecessors, it makes use of an LIDAR sensor and camera system for navigation and obstacle avoidance. The mapping system creates an interactive 3D map of your home, which you can view on the app. It also lets you define no-go zones, or specific rooms for spot cleaning. The app can also let you control the schedule of your robot and select different mopping and suction modes for each room.
The S8 also boasts enhanced HyperForce suction, which sucks hair and other fine particles easily. The app lets you alter the power of suction. The device can also automatically switch between energy efficient 'Quiet Balanced' and 'Turbo" modes depending on the surface that it is cleaning. It also features an Carpet Suction Boost mode that boosts suction when the robot is on carpets.
You can manage the S8 using a single button, which doubles as a general 'Clean button' or a 'Spot Clean button to direct the
bagless intelligent robot to that location. You can also use the 'Dock/Home' option to return the
robot vacuum bagless to its home base. The app is surprisingly extensive features and is simple to use. You can even select when to charge your phone off-peak in order to save money on peak time energy.
The only downside to the S8 is that its battery doesn't last as long as it could allow for, with only 130 minutes of use when I left it at its default settings with both vacuuming and mopping enabled. It's still an impressive amount of time and enough to completely clean my home.
