Euro Cylinder
Cylinder locks can be found on uPVC and other kinds of doors. They work by using a key that unlock a cylinder case that will reveal pins that can be aligned with those in the lock body and allow them to rotate a revolving cam, thus opening the door. Euro cylinders can be fitted with up to six pins. Internal and external doors require different levels of security.

To ensure that the euro cylinder is the correct size for your door, it should be measured correctly. The cylinder should be measured from the hole in the center of the fixing screw to the other end of the cylinder and the thumb turn if you have one. If you are unable measure it with the lock in position, you can remove it. It is crucial to ensure that there is no cylinder that extends beyond the handle or escutcheon. This could make it vulnerable to snapping lock attacks.
The design of many modern cylinders has anti-drilling and bump resistance features. These features are designed to minimize the risk of attack by forcing the cylinder rotate in the opposite direction. This helps prevent attacks and keep your doors safe.
Certain cylinders are constructed to resist snapping. This is a growing kind of attack on cylinders where the break line inside the lock is targeted with a special tool to break off the front of the cylinder to allow the door to open. This is much quicker and more straightforward than gaining access through multipoint locks. It also leaves little evidence of a break-in which can impede an insurance claim.
Spring Cassette
This spring cassette is located inside the base plate of the door handle. It is a spring-loaded solution to bring the multipoint lock
