The sequel to the Supergiant Games 2020 roguelike Hades is expected to be released in the year 2019. It's an opportune move that increases the stakes and gives more insight into family politics.
Melinoe returns to take down Chronos the titan of time. On her route, she will encounter new gods including the personifications of the light Apollo and the goddess of witchcraft Hecate and the god of revenge Nemesis.
1. Hades 2 Technical test
It's worth taking part in a technical test if you are a fan of Supergiant and their roguelike 2020 Hades. The studio claims that its Early Access launch is on the horizon, and a playtest will help them to iron out any bugs that are present in the game's smaller player base than the full 1.0 release.
Signing up is as simple as visiting the game's Steam page, and mashing the "request access" button. There are a limited number of spots available, though it is not guaranteed that everyone who applies will be selected. The test's technical component allows players to play the first area in Hades 2 with early-game content characters, systems, and characters. If they clear the area, players will be "gently encouraged" to stop playing, and be patiently waiting for the Early Access version, which is expected to launch in the near future.
The game's new theme revolves around Melinoe's journey into the Underworld to save her family. She's joined by her aunt Hecate and the game promises to be a more thorough exploration of Greek mythology than the first. The sequel offers a range of new powers, as well as more sexy gods for

Hades 2 builds on the Roguelike gameplay of the previous and introduces a new character and an expanded roster of Greek gods to charm. Participants in the technical test will be able to choose different boons to each room fighting minibosses and other enemies, and fight the boss of that area. They'll also have the option to choose permanent upgrades and face the difficult task of "God Mode."
Hades 2 has more levels as well as enemies, voiced characters, and key areas compared to the original. The test participants who took part in the technical tests will not be able transfer their progress to the Early Access build. Supergiant is planning to "reset" the game back to the beginning once it is in Early Access. This means that save data won't be transferred.
2. Hades 2 Early Access
Hades 2 has officially entered early access and is now available for purchase on Steam and Epic Games Store. The early access version of the game and the full version 1.0 will be available to players who purchase the game. Supergiant Games confirmed that the launch date will be in 2024.

Hades 2 is not only visually stunning and visually stunning, it also introduces new characters and features to the game that will improve your experience and make you think in ways you never imagined. In addition to the new gods and shades that make up the Underworld, there's a whole variety of items to collect and improve by using Incantations, which is a system of permanent upgrades found throughout each run. Melinoe is able to craft new spells and improve her Nocturnal Armor as well as Nocturnal Weapons. Melinoe can also gather items from the Crossroads Camp to use in future runs and unlock boons, weapons and other tools.
Another welcome addition is the addition of more open regions that offer different routes to take through each region and a constantly changing setting to explore. Each region is a unique approach to the Underworld, with some more accessible than others, each with unique challenges that stand out in the usual fare of other roguelites.
Supergiant has also altered the gameplay in the early access build. This has reduced some of the effort required to achieve certain upgrades and makes it simpler to move between zones. Hades 2 is still far from being finished however, Supergiant has said that it will continue to improve the game to make it more perfect.

3. Hades 2 Beta
Hades was a roguelike like no other when it came out in the year 2018. The game has won many awards and is widely regarded as one of the best games ever made. It's no surprise that the game resonated with the public, due to its rich narrative rooted in Greek mythology, stories of familial struggles and LGBTQ+ representation which feels natural and inclusive. So when Supergiant Games announced that it was working on a sequel in the works, it came as no surprise that the fans were thrilled.
Seven years after its first release, Hades 2 has finally been released to early access. While it's not changed much mechanically, Supergiant's love for and dedication to Hades 2 are evident from the beginning.
According to the Steam page for
Oscar Reys Hades 2, "the game brings back all the elements that were special in the first one: the isometric perspective, clearing rooms, selecting boons and launching powerful attacks, the Hub World with a host fully voice-acted character to interact with and learn from, as well as the ever-changing Underworld."
The test's technical aspects also add new features to the game. You can unlock permanent upgrades for Melinoe and a new weapon. You'll also be able to manage witchy frightened creatures, unravel secrets at the Arcana Altar, and gather ingredients that will enhance your abilities.
The most striking feature of the game is Omega attacks. These are new ways to boost your weaponry and spells. These attacks will increase the power of your magick meter which allows you to unleash devastating attacks with a large area of effect. It's a great method to add variety to the moment-to-moment action of combat.
The beta version of Hades 2 is available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. The official release date for the full version of the game is still unknown however, Supergiant has promised to keep fans updated as they work towards the 1.0 release in 2024. In the meantime, you can make a wishlist for the game on either platform to be informed when it launches.
4. Hades 2 Release Date
Hades 2 is now available in early access for PC after an extremely successful test. The sequel to Supergiant Games follows Melinoe, the daughter of Zeus and Hades on a quest to take down Chronos and free her father. Hades 2 promises all the amazing mechanics of its award-winning predecessor with a re-imagined story that is rooted in Greek mythology, and the beginning of witchcraft.
Steam and Epic Games Store are both accessible to those who wish to purchase the game. Early access buyers can play the game in all future versions. The full release of Hades 2 is scheduled for the end of 2024.
The roguelike isn't scheduled to launch until 2022 however the early access version of the game has already attracted players' attention. Livestreams that preview the game's April test revealed some of the details about its new characters and gameplay components.
During the stream, developers talked about how they plan to add more regions, characters and challenges in the coming months. They also discussed how they will make combat feel more rewarding by introducing more skills based on skill.
In the FAQ, Supergiant explained that the early access version of Hades 2 will feature "at least as many levels, enemies, voiced characters, and key areas as [the] finished version of the original Hades." The team plans to continue development until 2024. This means that the 1.0 release could be a few months away.
Hades 2's trailer features Melinoe the Underworld princess, who is fighting the cool witch Hecate. While the character isn't a direct reimagining of Zagreus, Supergiant says that Melinoe will have the same style and personality. The character is also based on an existing character from Greek mythology which the studio has adapted to match the story of Hades 2.
It could be worthwhile to hold off until the full release of Hades 2 instead of jumping into the early-access version. If you're willing to wait a few months for the full version, you can buy it on Steam or the Epic Games Store.
