The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you are looking for a robot vacuum and mop that is mid-range. It has a great mopping performance but lacks certain of the more advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.
During testing it was able to tackle dust and dry oats on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard floors. It does not use LIDAR however, like cheaper models do to identify your home.
1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the best-rated robots. It is a powerful cleaner and numerous features that include an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. It can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic to ensure you have a hands-free experience.
The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is set up, you can start automatic cleaning with a single button. You can choose a general clean that focuses on the removal of larger particles like cereal and rice. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that your home is completely cleaned.
This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It can remove pet hair and also suck large items up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's not the
best robot vacuum time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot claims it will get better in the future with new models.
The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes that this will allow it to be able to hug the furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common, but we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.
iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with an improved filtering system that blocks microscopic dust particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the price cost.
Its smart navigation system uses sensors to remember the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map the interior of your home. It then cleans your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundaries so that the robot can determine the areas that require attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as effective as those on higher-end models and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibration pad.
The only issue is the lack of a second brush for deeper cleaning. However, it's not a big deal if you want to own one of the top robots available. The robo-vac's tank for dust is larger than many of its competitors and takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even with the maximum dirt level.
In terms of the mopping device, I was awestruck by its ability to remove hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes, which are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, create minimal noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without interruption. It will gently hit furniture or walls and move on whenever it comes across one.
The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical garbage into the bin hidden in the background and also washes and dry mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is capable of alerting you when something needs attention, such as the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled vacuuming session that was cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.
You can also create or merge actual rooms to personalize the way Q Revo treats your home. This feature is helpful when you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or when you have to frequently clear out clutter such as toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the best performers in my tests and was able to remove debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first attempt. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with a powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, and an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them fresh and ready for reuse. It also features a new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture or other objects.
The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still big. It is more than two feet in the height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a full cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet with just one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when required.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that can be used even if you are not at home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a predetermined path.
The Omni Omni has the
Best roborock vacuum and mop mopping performance of any robot we've tested, because of its mop pads that rotate to scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding as well and it increases suction when it detects carpet to ensure it does a thorough job. It is equipped with a large rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping mode of the robot is also powerful.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end robot vacuum and mop that comes with a host of convenience features that you do not often find on robots at this price. It is able to build detailed floor maps, identify different types of flooring and is one of the few robots that automatically wash and dry the mop pads. Although these features are useful, they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury which could make it a little more expensive than some homeowners need.
It is designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish accented by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage while moving around the house. In the pane in the front is an additional navigation technology with sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, there's a single button that essentially acts as an on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and send it to its base station. The center of the control panel has a circular menu that allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons will allow you to access the settings in the app, which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This allows the robot to clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for families with children or pets.
The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hardwood floors and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice staining. The mops are also efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile and carpet tests. It was not as effective at removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
