iRobot Roomba combination adapts to your routine cleaning and suggests programs that are appropriate for you. Smart mapping, automatic schedules and Clean While I'm Away are some of the carefully selected iRobot OS features.
The iRobot app lets you look over images of objects that the Combo J7+ can capture to understand which areas it should avoid (lamp cords, for instance). You can also modify your map by drawing specific areas that the robot must avoid.
Vacuuming
The Combo Essential has a powerful 4-Stage Cleaning System that vacuums and mop in one go and removes dirt from difficult-to-access places such as under the couch. It uses smart navigation to methodically clean in neat rows for wall-towall cleaning and to avoid falling down stairs, while sensors help navigate around furniture. Additionally, its Clean Base Auto-Fill Dock empties debris for up to 60 days and refills liquid for auto-cleaning that is more durable than the competition. Additionally, it's compatible with more cleaning solutions than any other 2-in-1.
The Roomba combo is a capable mopper, though it isn't equipped with some of the more advanced features that make the Roomba j7+ such an excellent sweeper and mover. It shifts from sweeping to mopping when it detects an area that is damp. A small robot arm raises a little water tank/dustbin combo and a new pad is inserted into the cleaner when you hit a button.
Its navigation was in line with the top
irobot series robots in my tests, and it made good progress even when the route was not transparent. It's not the most efficient at avoiding obstacles, but it was pretty quick to recognize and maneuver to get around larger objects such as socks and toys that could get in its way.
The app lets you customize your schedule, design an individual cleaning route and set up Keep Out Zones or Clean Zones to tell the robot where it is supposed to go. It also displays an overview of its actions and its health status. It is also possible to pair it with Alexa, Siri or Google Assistant enabled devices to provide voice control. iRobot's smart platform also automatically updates the Combo's software, and adds new features and capabilities in real time.
