The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest in Ecovacs range of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model is equipped with Ecovacs' upgraded AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system that offers better mapping and obstacle avoidance. It uses dual laser LiDAR, which is similar to the one used in
self emptying robot vacuum for pet hair-driving vehicles. It can scan a space that is up to 32 feet by the 270-degree angle. This translates to more accurate mapping, faster response time, and higher cleaning accuracy.
It also comes with a rotating mopping mat constructed of chenille, making it easier to scrub hard spots than traditional mop. During my testing, the X2 Omni took just over a minute to clean its pad and get to work, and I noticed it was more precise than previous models that seemed to follow a grid route around rooms. It was able to navigate the corners and edges of my rooms, as well as make "Zambani patterns" across the middle of the room. It's a tempting mid-range robot vacuum cleaner although it can't quite deliver on its promise to be the ultimate source for floor cleaning.
The X8 Hybrid looks like a traditional robotic vacuum cleaner from the top, with its circular shape, sweeping wheels and a raised space for sensors. On the opposite side, you'll see a motorised floorbrush as well as one side brush that pushes dust from the edges into the main path of its' mouth.' It's smaller than the main brushes of the iRobot Roomba S9 which I found made it easier to reach under chairs and couches.

The A4s Pro is a bit expensive however it's a great purchase for those who want to be able to leave the house without hands so that they can do other things or take care chores. This budget-friendly robot from a renowned brand is the cheapest we've ever tested, and provides incredible value for money. The basic navigation system is based on a very basic random pathing algorithm and it's not equipped to map rooms. This renders it less efficient as other models on this list. However it's still able to navigate under furniture and into corners and its mopping feature was very effective during our tests, picking up stray pet hair and other debris easily.

Shark's iQ isn't as well-built as the Roomba S9, but it is superior in general at getting rid of pet hair on all surfaces. It is more effective of cleaning low-pile carpet and bare floors. It also makes use of intelligent-pathing navigational software to improve mobility. It can be positioned to a particular area and comes with a range of advanced automation features including no-go zones and schedules. It allows you to stop and resume cleaning sessions which is ideal for homes with pets.
