The non-fungible token (NFT) trend has taken over the world of gaming, but now even high-end automakers are joining the fun. The luxury car maker Lamborghini has unveiled its first NFT project, which consists of five digital artifacts that are space-themed linked to a physical object dubbed the Space Key. The tokens are based on an advanced carbon fiber composite material, which was sent to the International Space Station in 2019 to conduct a joint research.
NFTs are unique digital identifiers stored in a distributed database referred to as Blockchain. They can be tied to any digital asset such as images or music. The brand has promised that it will reveal more details in the coming days and weeks, including the name of the artist behind the Space Key, digital artwork and the auction house.

It will run for 75 hours and 50 minutes, which is the same time it took to see Apollo 11 leave Earth and enter orbit. The details about the artwork as well as the auction will be released over the next few weeks. For the artwork itself, it consists of an image of the Aventador that was constructed from a variety of photographs.
