Baby Jogger Summit X3
The Summit X3 is one of Baby Jogger's most loved strollers. It is a hybrid jogger/stroller which can be used for walking or jogging on any terrain. The large air-filled tyres as well as all-wheel suspension ensure a smooth ride for your baby. Its padded seat reclines nearly flat and is endorsed by the EC for newborns*. A vented seat top improves the flow of air when the seat is reclined. The adaptor included allows this model to accept most infant car seats. It comes with a one-hand compact folding that is quick and simple.
It's on the expensive end of all-terrain running strollers, like the BOBs. However, it does have many positive characteristics. The brakes with a single action have a reassuring click and are easy to use, even when being in your child's arms. The hand-operated brake is useful, especially when you're running uphill.
Another feature that is cool is the remote action swivel lock, located on the handlebar. This allows you to easily switch from swivel mode and back to locked for running, without having to bend over and touch the front wheel, which can get dirty or get muddy. Once you're done, switch the lever to swivel mode.
The Baby Jogger Summit X3 features an enormous UV50+ canopy, with side air vents, and peek-aboo windows. The canopy offers plenty of coverage to protect your child from the sun, and it can be adjusted to meet the changing weather conditions. It is rated for walking at 6 months and jog until 9 months. It folds using a pull of the handle made of fabric on the seat, which is super easy and quick, even while holding your child. When folded, it is compact and secured using a Velcro strap.
BOB Gear Alternate Pro

The huge rear wheel of 16 inches and the front wheel measuring 12 inches of this jogger have been designed to smoothly roll over uneven terrain, and provide excellent maneuverability. The air-filled wheels offer maximum performance and durability, while also providing a sense of comfort to your child.
The Alterrain Pro is easy-to-maneuver and requires a minimal amount of setup time, despite its weight. It also comes with a helpful user's guide and no tools are required to set up. The Alterrain Pro travel system is compatible with a range of infant car seats, including those from Britax, UPPAbaby and Chicco.
Its sunshade scored higher than the rest we evaluated. It covers to the knees, providing exceptional protection from harmful UV rays. It also comes with a cushioned seat that is sling-style and a reclined back that can be operated by pressing down on a lever using one hand. The padded leg rest extends down to the plastic footrest for added comfort. The Alterrain Pro has a sleek and modern look to it and is more refined than other models made by the brand. The aluminum frame tubing has a minimal left-to-right flex, and the stitching around the handlebar, canopy, and basket is clean and neat with no tangled up fasteners.
BOB Sport Utility
The stroller, which is available in duallie or single form, is designed for parents who take their outdoor adventures seriously. It's designed for off-road strolling with knobby tires and high-impact polymer wheels that increase traction. The front wheel is fixed to assist with stability when jogging and aids in navigating difficult terrain. The adjustable suspension is state of the technology and can take on any bumps. It has a handlebar which can be adjusted to fit parents of different heights, and an enormous storage basket to store all of your equipment.
In our tests we found that the BOB Sport Utility earned an average of 6 out of 10 score for running / jogging use, trailing behind only our top-rated model, which is the BOB Ironman. Its suspension and its large wheels make it more comfortable to run with and its air-filled tire and suspension system better absorb the shock of rough surfaces than the smaller tires on competing joggers (including our other BOB strollers like the Revolution Flex and the Thule Urban Glide 2 which both scored 9).
The Sport Utility is very good in its maneuverability, but isn't as easy to turn like other models in this review. It is required to tip the handlebar in order to turn. This is great on flat surfaces, but it can be difficult to navigate in tight spaces, such as grocery stores or cafes.
The BOB Sport utility comes with the same safety features that many other joggers have with a 5-point belt as well as a foot brake and a hand brake. The BOB Sport Utility can also accommodate the majority of infant car seat adapters which are available separately. We found the brakes to be responsive and easy to use, however we didn't love the fact that you need to sit on a lever close to the front seat to lock the front wheel, which can feel awkward when walking or running.
Baby Trend Expedition
This stroller is an excellent option for families who are on a budget. It has all the necessary safety features, such as a 5-point harness and the tether strap to keep your kids safe during outings. The handlebar has an extra-wide ergonomically-shaped rubber grip and is cushioned with foam to ensure comfort. This makes it easy to traverse hills and other rough
terrain pram. It comes with a large bin that can hold two or more drinks, which is helpful when you are on a long trip.
The Expedition is a jogger which can carry infant car seats. It's an excellent choice for parents with small children. It can be used to connect Baby Trend and Graco infant car seats to the car seat adapter included, and it comes with a lockable front swivel
4 wheel all-terrain pushchair that can unlock to allow jogging, or lock it for strolling with ease. It also comes with a
multi terrain pram-position reclining seat, a large storage basket and footrest reflectors that enhance low-light visibility.
The Expedition isn't as great in some areas as our top-scoring models. It doesn't have a suspension system that can help absorb the impact of bumps and uneven terrain, which can make it uncomfortable for kids who are young. The wheels made of metal aren't as sturdy as strollers that have a larger tire diameter, so it's not the
best all terrain stroller choice for frequent rough surfaces.
The canopy of the Expedition is rather small, so it's not as a great way to cover or protection from the sun. Despite its shortcomings it is a great choice for families. Baby Trend Expedition makes a ideal choice for parents who are on an extremely tight budget and need an all-terrain stroller. It also comes with other convenient features, such as a parent tray with cup holders as well as an infant's tray with two cup holders.
Out and About Nipper Sport V4
Out 'n' About, a UK brand, has won legions for its jogging buggies. This model is the most efficient running buggy they've ever produced. It's light and easy to steer and has robust 16" wheels that can tackle even the toughest terrain. It has an articulated front wheel, which means it's simple to stop straight for running, but you can pull a lever on the handlebar to release and let the wheel rotate for easy strolling or hill climbing.
The suspension is great, especially when riding on rocky and bumpy bridleways. The only niggle was that the handlebar brake isn't as responsive as we'd like it to be, and the Nipper Sport V4 can't be used with a baby car or car seat (although it can accept an infant insert and a compatible carrycot for occasional sleeping in the night).
The instructions are clear and we were in a position to put it together in less than 10 minutes. You do have to fit the hood and seat liner by yourself but we found that was easy - it simply requires a bit of patience when you are feeding the harness straps through the slots in the padded seat liner. The back of the seat has a medium-sized pouch, but it's not big enough to hold a change bag.
The Out 'n' About Nipper Sport V4 can be used as early as birth, but it's recommended to wait until your child is six months old before using it for running. This is due to the fact that the harness isn't sturdier enough to hold newborns, so you'll need an additional carrycot or a newborn insert.
