The core of each Space Key is a block made of a high-tech carbon fire composite material that was sent to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of a research project. After returning to Earth, it was made into a QR code that links it to the digital element of the Space Key.
Each of the five Space Keys features a different moment that takes place at different times when the Lamborghini Ultimae takes off towards the stars. More than 600 million pixels up each of the five images, which were shot by photographer Fabian Oefner.
Oefner employed an inflatable camera fitted with a lens to capture individual images, which were then put together into the final image. The result is a picture that is out of this world. It captures both the beauty of Earth and the futuristic, hyperrealistic picture of a car rising from the Earth. The Space Keys will be auctioned off in the near future, however the exact date and time of the auction hasn't been announced yet.
