It is a state of transition between Heaven and Hell and is the place where those who are not righteous will be punished for their sins. It is also the place where the rich man was in Jesus' parable about the "rich man" and Lazarus after his death.

The ancient Greeks also believed that if one's soul was not in the Underworld and wandered around the earth as ghosts until they were discovered and brought back to the afterlife.

The character is a sorceress and witch with powerful magical powers and "deadly skills" with shadowy weaponry. Supergiant will also expand the Underworld, adding new locations and challenges. The players can also make use of abilities granted by Olympians to overcome these challenges.
